It's been a really long time since I've gone to the grocery store with a "list" of foods I need to buy. Today I was able to get out with only the 2 little guys and I kept looking at my list and thinking.. "sheesh... I haven't even gotten anything" as I went up and down the aisles. (I'm in the habit of going down EVERY aisle.) So I'm almost to the end of all the aisles and it hits me... Umm.. MOST of the stuff on this list is produce and meat!
Wow! It feels so awesome to not have a list of freezer and boxed items to feed to my family. YUCK! It amazes me that I've eaten crap like that my entire life! SO glad I'm moving on! ;o)
I also got a cookie recipe from a friend to make cookies for my hubby. It was pretty funny that I had to buy a few basic ingredients (like brown sugar and crisco) and the best part was that when I got home I realized that I didn't have any BLEACHED WHITE FLOUR to put in them. It's just not something I buy anymore... Luckily I was able to get some from a neighbor...
AND... I hate p90x yoga... any of you hardcore girls know what I could substitute it with? My life is just too busy and crazy to attempt to "clear my mind" for 92 FREAKIN MINUTES!! Any suggestions?

Yeah don't think I would sacrifice 92 minutes for yoga...now 90 minutes maybe...but 92 is a little over the top...LOL That's a lot of time, and I really could never pull that off. I wish you luck. It is great that you could spare the time of traveling through the whole grocery store, because you don't use 90% of what they carry. Hope your Hubby liked the cookies.
You know what Karilynn, I am not such a fan of Yoga X either. I TRY to be...because it's part of the program...but it IS too LONG for me. Before I was finished the first round, I got sick...so I only did HALF of Yoga X. Why don't you just do the first half and a couple of the stretches near the end, and call it a day...that'll give you about 60 minutes...and with YOGA X, 60 is plenty! You're still doing the program, and you're still getting the benefit of the moving options. Just modify, alter it, do the moves you enjoy...and Sam's your uncle...(have NO idea what that expression means, LOL)
Awesome on the eating, btw. I am the same way. I have MY list of MY foods...I still give them a lot of their foods, but I wean them off gradually. One thing that bugs me is that the health food store is SO expensive! Ugh! All the fattening, crappy food for you is cheap-er, and the good stuff, astronomical! Hardly seems right, eh!
You'll love the Cardio X. I sub it sometimes when I need to. 45 minutes and you sweat like a pig...and the time goes by so fast because it's a bit of yoga, a bit of Kenpo, a bit of plyo and a bit of Core. Go for the Cardio X! :o)
